etc. Dads and other carers come with their children to spend a couple of hours of quality time together with the emphasis on FUN, FUN, FUN!
Dads, carers and their children are welcomed to the group by Sure Start Preston East Children’s Centre staff members and introduced to others at the group. Activities are arranged for families, such as crafts, cooking sessions, games, health awareness and outings, and new suggestions are always welcomed.
We all join together to share through play and activities, which enhance relationships as well as helping with children's development.
Everyone at the group is very friendly and make new members very welcome. A light lunch is provided by Sure Start Preston East Children’s Centre.

When and where is Dad's Club held?
Dad's Club is usually held at Preston East Children’s Centre, Watling Street Road, Preston, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm every other Saturday.
Please contact us on 01772 790 810 for details of the next date for group. Sure Start Preston East Children's Centre wants to support dads in their role so come and join in the FUN - you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

"My name is Steve and my granddaughter, Shona, and I have been attending the SureStart Dads Club for almost a year. The club got off to a slow but positive start but has picked up momentum during the current year and is now well established. Christine Nuttall, the organiser, and her assistants work extremely hard and they all go to great lengths to make everybody feel special.
There are different activities arranged for the children every time we meet and on some occasions there have been various things arranged for the adults to be involved in.
During last summer the club went on three outings. We had wonderful times at Grizedale Forest, the Wild Boar Park and at Camelot. These trips were well organised and both Shona and I are looking forward to next summer in the hope that further outings will be arranged.
In my opinion the Dads (and Granddads) Club has been a great success and I hope it continues to provide support and enjoyment for a long time into the future."
