Education
At Sure Start Preston East Children's Centre we are fortunate to have several popular and well established community groups attended by families with young children. The Education and Childcare Team promote the provision, and maintenance of high quality learning experiences delivered through a variety of different settings. Parents benefit from opportunities to contribute to the development and education of young minds, whilst children are able to enjoy first hand positive learning experiences.
Working alongside the Lancashire Early Years Teacher Team and in partnership with local Early Years practitioners, we are continuing to develop effective practice in line with the SureStart Birth to Three Matters support framework and the Foundation Stage Curriculum guidance. Early experience is critical to continued development and has a profound effect upon children reaching their full potential. For all of us, learning is most meaningful when easily accessible, relevant and most importantly - FUN!
As Sure Start Preston East Children's Centre continues to move forward towards an exciting future, resourcing and planning for new initiatives continues. We have qualified teacher support which is one of the core components of a successful Children's Centre. The Education and Childcare Team work in partnership with the whole Preston East Children's Centre team, developing and promoting effective services for the local community that we serve.
